What is Twitter? According to Wikipedia…

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

Twitter’s place in social media is between an email and a blog post.  You wouldn’t necessarily email all your customers about a new product that you just recieved but you could tweet it (post update on twitter).  This would then be sent to all your followers.  You could even do what companies like ComCast has done and use it as a service to answer questions and complaints.

You can then leverage the work you have done on twitter and put it on your website.  Through our software system, your tweets can automatically be updated on your website.  This generates new content which will help bring your search ranking higher with each tweet.  The video below does a great job of walking you through the setup.
