Track phone calls from Website with Google Voice

google-voiceGoogle is announcing a great new service for business (and for personal use as well).  About a year ago Google bought a company called Grand Central.  Their goal was to have one centralized phone number for everything.  Google has taken this a step further and here’s what it does:

  • When someone calls your Google Number, your office, cell phone, or home phone can all ring, you can set what times of the day the calls should be routed to which number
  • Personalized voicemail for whoever is calling
  • Transcribes voicemails into emails
  • Tracking and reporting

This is really just the tip of the iceberg on what this service can do.  With it you can set up a free Google voice number for your website that gets automatically forwarded to your business line (that’s what we do).  Yellow Pages charges big bucks for this type of reporting, but it’s available for free with Google Voice (thanks to Google, of course).
